Marian turned 1 at the end of last month. It is so hard to believe our little girl is growing up so fast! She is learning and changing so much each day and continuing to bring us so much fun and laughter. There are times when she still is so much a baby, but definitely more and more times when she is coming into her toddler self. It has been and will continue to be a prayerful journey of how to best parent this little one with so much life and passion packed in her little body. Boy do we love her though! She continues to love people and interacting with them, though she has gotten a little more reserved with new faces. Overall, she is happy and content and, though opinionated, learning how to express herself in a good way (as good as a one year old can at this point!). Here are a couple pictures of her birthday…
Marian was a little unsure of this contraption at first, but now that she has made friends with it, she really enjoys cruising around the house. She is close to walking on her own but not quite ready to make the jump.

She got a bucket and a shovel and was pretty sure that the shovel was the perfect size for a spoon.
She was not sure what she was supposed to do with the cupcake and why we were bringing her fire.
She eventually, with a little encouragement made friends…
and then enjoyed working the crowd.
